How to find out which version of JAVA you have installed

Windows XP

  1. Navigate to: Control Panel > Java Plug-in to open the Java(TM) Plug-in Control Panel.
  2. Click on About on the General tab. (If you have the horizontal rectangular console - you may have the older version. It has different tabs)
  3. You can also find out which version of Java you have by visiting the Sun Site

Click Verify Installation
